The summer home selling season is in the rearview mirror for now, but that doesn’t mean the real estate market comes to a screeching halt. People are still buying and selling homes, and I want you to know that you can still do the same.
If you thought that you missed prime-time home selling season, then I’m happy to let you know that you were mistaken. Autumn is a tremendous time to sell your home.
This article from AOL Real Estate offers a full explanation why the fall is a great time to sell, but I’ll summarize it for you here. There are two big reasons why now is still a great time to sell.
The first reason is that you’ll face less competition because most sellers still mistakenly believe that the market comes to a halt at this time of the year. During the Spring and Summer there are a great deal of buyers, but there are also a lot of other sellers. This means that in the Fall your home will stand out to buyers, and when inventory is low you can also demand more money for your home.
The second is that buyers are still in the market, and they’re motivated to buy your home. Nobody wants to be buying a home during the holidays, so the prospective buyers we see in the fall are often extremely motivated to buy a home. People who buy in the Summer have the luxury of time, but people looking to purchase right now aren’t afforded that same luxury. This means that you’ll enjoy a smooth and quick sale for a very fair price.
As you can see, it’s still a great time to sell your home. Another plus for when you sell right now is that your home probably looks fantastic with all of the Fall colors starting to appear. Take this opportunity to snap some high-quality photos so that even if you don’t sell now, you have them to market your home with later on in the year.
If you have any questions about the home selling process, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I would love to set up a free consultation to plan a quick autumn home sale. www.bluewestproperties./contact-us
